Irony in the news

I really never wanted to discuss politics or religion here. However, yesterday there were two stories in the news yesterday that were so ironic to me I felt the need to write about it. First was Gov. Spitzer's run in with the law. He made a career of fighting corruption in government and ran on that platform, but is now found to participate in a prostitution ring. The second story was the expansion of the seven deadly sins by the Vatican. One in particular struck me as ironic. It was excessive accumulation of wealth. Never mind greed was already a deadly sin. What struck me was this was coming from a man that lives in an neighborhood size house that has its own police force. He rides around in this bullet proof car in a jewel filled hat and priceless rings. Maybe it's just me but I found both pretty ironic.
