I'm still alive....really I am.

It's been a few weeks since I've posted anything. I have been really busy these past few weeks. We put up a fence in the yard. It is up and we are slowly staining it as time allows. Meetings with the Village Board have continued as well as responsibilities at church. We've also tried to make time as family. We have been able to take in a Brewers' game and went to the State Fair for the first time in my life. I've lived in four states and this was my first state fair experience. It was pretty fun and I really like deep fried snickers by the way. Also and the most time consuming is the launch of Shepherds College. We had move in day on August 1st followed by orientation weekend. Classes started on the 4th and have been a learning experience for the students as well as the faculty and staff. We've seen growth already and look forward to seeing the students move on. If you don't know Shepherds College is a post-secondary school for students with developmental disabilities. I'm the Director of Admissions and have had a good time talking with families about this new possibility. www.shepherdscollege.org
